Solwata Expeditions - Guided Surfing Expeditions to the Solomons north shore

The north shore 'koburu' season is October to April. All our trips with a maximum of six people. Guaranteed to have the waves to yourself. All trips include bi-lingual Australian guides who know the people, the surf breaks and will lead you on an amazing adventure probably like nothing you have experienced before.

The 'Solwata' - or Salt Water People, a sea based culture of Malaita, are our hosts. This is our main north shore destination island with over a dozen exclusive world class left and right breaks to surf. With this tour we deliver what we strongly believe is the best and most unique surf travel experience available in the Solomon Islands. We will aim to meet all your needs and deliver a trip that for many will be one of, if not the best, surf and travel experience of their lives.

Ten day tours from AUD$2480 per person. Fourteen day and seven day tours available on request.

Included:

- Airport/Hotel pick up and drop off in Honiara

- Interisland transfers

- Great food - 3 meals a day with focus on fresh organic produce and sea food. Tea and real coffee

- Comfortable accomodation in 2-3 private surf camps with boat transfers between them

- We adjust itinerary based on swell forecasts to ensure you get the best waves available.

- Daily use of 40HP surf transfer boat with canopy - all fuel and crew included for unlimited surfing every day.

- Australian guide with a wealth of local experience in and out of the water guarantees you are in safe hands

- Other activities as included options each day - waterfalls, village and market visits, snorkelling, fishing trips.

- Community contributions supporting sustainable tourism in an area very new to any kind of tourism

'Solwata' Expedition Schedule

The table below shows availability for 'Solwatal' Malaita expeditions. Its best to arrive in Honiara, the capital of Solomons, on a Thursday. The tour begins the following day in the early morning when we pick you up at your hotel and the journey begins. If you have a need to come on different dates please get in touch and we will see what we can do.
